Ngarunga Nangama Artwork, EY Centre, 200 George Street, Sydney

products - Ecosense Trov

Opened in June 2016, Mirvac’s 200 George Street, known as EY Centre, is one of a new breed of skyscrapers designed to make a more considered contribution to both streetscape and skyline. EY Centre’s main lobby on George Street is home to a stunning artwork, Ngarunga Nangama: calm water dream, a piece that has been etched into golden Sydney sandstone by Indigenous artist Judith Watson. Wrapping around the building’s core at ground level, it is the largest of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere. This impressive 300 square meters of stone was excavated from the site and inspires people to feel a connection to the history and memory of the tank stream.
